On Wednesday, October 14, 2015, Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Minnesota and supporters participated in the International Day of Action on University Campuses for Palestine by having a die-in public demonstration and speaking out about the recent escalation in Israeli state-sanctioned violence towards Palestinians.
This campaign is an international effort to call attention to the recent wave of violence towards Palestinians, especially towards minors protesting. This day was called in by SJP UC Berkeley, who aimed to highlight Palestinian life under occupation and the Palestinian call for BDS support.
We call for an end to state-sanctioned violence against Palestinians and call for the rights of Palestinians to protest the occupation to be respected.
We encourage all to stand beside us and to learn more about the victims and the larger historical and political contexts of their deaths, and about the ongoing occupation in Palestine.
