Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Minnesota is a group of students, faculty, and community members working together in the Twin Cities, in solidarity with the struggle of the indigenous Palestinian people against apartheid and occupation. SJP UMN organizes frequent educational events that give a voice to the Palestinian narrative as well as highlight the plight of the Palestinian people under Israeli aggression, in addition to organizing protests, memorials, and other events that attempt to visualize the Palestinian struggle.
SJP’s strength flows from the diversity of its membership, consisting of individuals of varied racial and ethnic backgrounds and political orientations. United in the struggle for peace and justice in Palestine. Furthermore, SJP condemns all acts of unlawful violence, or violence that indiscriminately targets civilians or civilian infrastructure, committed by either side in the course of the conflict.
